ROCKWOOL ProRox Industrial Insulation can be installed on piping, valves and flanges, expansion joints vessels, storage tanks, boilers, insulation of columns, and all other areas where thermal, acoustic and fire safe insulation is necessary.

They can be supplied in various systems like slab, wire matt and pipe sections with reinforcement and facing in the form of wire mesh, glass cloth and aluminum foil which acts as a vapor barrier also. With a complete range of techniques and insulation systems, ROCKWOOL ProRox Insulation offers designers and construction supervisors optimum tailored solutions for the petrochemical, energy, ship building, offshore and processing industries. Stone wool is non-flammable up to temperatures of approximately 1,000 ºC and therefore provides a crucial contribution towards passive fire protection.

ROCKWOOL ProRox stone wool products also contain WR-Tech. WR-Tech is a patent-pending water repellent technology that gives you the superior performance of stone wool, while providing the lowest possible water absorption at operating temperatures in the full CUI range (up to 250°C / 482°F)–also after heating and aging. Our next generation ROCKWOOL ProRox mandrel wound stonewool pipe sections with WR-Tech™ (Water Repellency Technology) get to grips with CUI. They absorb less water, dry faster, are more durable and have a very low water leachable salt content. Minimising the risk of corrosion under insulation.

Furthermore, industrial insulation also provides a significant contribution to personal protection. Optimum insulation reduces process temperatures and noise in the industrial environment to an acceptable level, to the limits generally regarded in the industry for a safe and comfortable working environment.
